Tutoring FAQ
Tutoring
Packages:
Tutoring Sessions are available in either a 30min, 1 hour, 1.5 hour or 2 hour session.
Appointments:
It is not necessary to make an appointment but it is recommended to ensure the exact time slot you were looking for will be available. If you are looking to do some tutoring immediately, please call to see what is available.
Earily Session Completion:
For the most part it will normally take pretty close to the estimated time to complete session topic. There are no discounts for earily session completion.
Late Session Completion:
Often a session will take a bit longer but if it is within reason there is usually no extra charge. After that extra coaching time spent after a session on any new or already covered topics is charged in 15min or 30min incremients.
Session Interruptions:
It is your responsibility to make sure that you have scheduled enough time for a session. Session times can no longer be broken up and carried over until next time unless absolutely necessary. Any phone calls, text messeges, or other interruptions will only take away session minutes.
Cancellation:
Please provide 48 hours notice prior to cancellation to allow for another session to be booked by someone else. Timeslots can be limited at times so please try to keep your booking. Frequent cancellations will result in cancellation fees.
Payment:
Payment is require prior to ALL session times. Payment can be made by credit card, paypal, debit card, or interac email money transfer.
Session Fees:
1/2 hour coaching - $29.99 | 1 hour coaching - $49.99 | 2 hour coaching - $79.99
Discounts:
Those who agree to a full 2 hour session are entitled to a reduced rate for the second hour.
Coaches Perogative:
The coach will help out here and there and can provide extra help FREE of Charge in many cases to those who deserve the extra help. Those who abuse or try to muscle the system that is in place here will be met with much less flexibility.
Bargining:
Prices are available as is and are non-negociable. Barginning will not get you a lower rate. Please no tire kickers.
Software:
Various software will be recommended during class time. Spennyforhire cannot be responsible for what happens to your computer in the event that one of those tools become buggy or problematic. However Spennyforhire can likely offer Technical support for many problems resulting from third party applications. An hourly rate applies in such cases. Spenny will however help identify problems and make recommendations at no extra cost.
Problems During Session Time:
Problem solving is part of the learning experience. Much can be learned during the troubleshooting process. Most problems can be solved quite quickly during class time. Any major problems that stop us from proceeding initially through a normal session will probably need time to work out and will be done so on the coaches time. This will postpone that particular topic until the next session. Any problems created by the student is subject to regular rate.
Computer Problems:
If there are just to many computer problems or the connection is really slow due to possible viruses and malware, Spenny can schedule your computer in for a full or partial tune-up!
Third Party Extensions:
Spennyforhire cannot be held accountable for any damage you do to your website with any of the Plugins, Modules, Components, or any other extensions available on the market. However if you would like assistance to help troubleshoot a difficult issue pertaining to a certain extension, please let me know and we can work something out.
Recommended Extensions:
All extensions that are recommended during class time are not guarenteed to work forever. Occassional updates may casue the extensions to break resulting is the occassional website troubleshooting and maintenance.
Website Failures:
Websites can sometimes fail following the installation of a plugin, module, component, or a new template installation. A code misconfiguration can also result in a failed website or access denied error. If you no longer have access to your site or could use some help, please let us know.
Website Backup:
It is your responsibility to backup your website and your database on a regular basis once we have covered both full website backup and manual database backup. However Spenny can give you some awesome tools to make the process really easy : )
